Front-End Web Developer

I’m a front-end web developer with a background in graphic design and web accessibility who loves to build responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I enjoy creating websites with thoughtful design principles that include everyone from start to finish, while emphasizing search engine optimization (SEO) and web performance.

Before transitioning into front-end development, I worked as a Digital Accessibility Analyst at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where I led 40 help sessions with an average of 9 people in attendance at each session, ranging from technical and non-technical content owners, from research assistants to directors. I also helped 144 websites meet UCSF’s accessibility goals of achieving WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, using Siteimprove to identify accessibility issues and advised stakeholders in implementing HTML and CSS remediation in Drupal 10, WordPress, and other CMS websites. I excel in highly-collaborative environments where problems are approached with curiosity and a desire to learn.

Outside of development, you’ll find me exploring local restaurants and striking up conversations with people I have never met before from all walks of life, running, and enjoying a sunset on top of a hill in San Diego.
